Shomit joined ONSET Ventures in 2001 after 19 years of working at high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley. During his career he participated in several successful IPOs, including those of Sun Microsystems, BroadVision and Tumbleweed Communications. Shomit was awarded two academic scholarships to the University of California, Berkeley, at age 15. He graduated in 1982 with a degree in Computer Science. He is an Industry Fellow and lead venture coach at UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, and serves on the entrepreneurship advisory board at the University of San Francisco.
Mitch was an early engineer at Data Domain where he led the System Management group for four years. Data Domain sold to EMC for $2.4B. Mitch authored the Data Domain Enterprise Manager, which further enhanced the company’s ability to sell to large enterprises. He has been employed as a software engineer by Motorola and SnapLogic and has founded other start-up ventures. Mitch earned a degree in Computer Science from The College of Wooster, where he was an Arthur Holly Compton scholar.
Henrik joined Pancetera from VMware where he served as Director of Application Virtualization. His most recent role was CEO of Thinstall in San Francisco prior to the acquisition by VMware. Henrik is a successful serial entrepreneur with extensive business development and sales experience. Henrik founded In2itive Technologies in 1992, which was successfully sold to SPSS in 1997. Henrik was also formerly the CEO of Interse A/S, EVP PremiTech inc. and VP at IT Factory Inc.
Prashant joined Hummer Winblad in December 2000. Prior to Hummer Winblad, Prashant spent many years defining and launching high tech products. His background spans all seven layers of the OSI stack with product management roles at enCommerce (acquired by Entrust), Cypress Semiconductor and AT&T. Prashant received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
